Text
Berossus, Babyloniaca F1:
They say that everything originally was water and was called Thalassa. Bel restrained it, assigning a place to each thing, and he surrounded Babylon with a wall. But with the passage of time it disappeared and Nabouchodonosoros again built a wall with bronze gates which lasted until the Macedonian domination.
