Cosroe and his Page 57:
In the Pahlavi text Cosroe and his Page, a court dialogue between the Great King and his page, there is a discussion about the best and the finest wine, i. e. the mad ī āsūrīg, the “Babylonian wine”. The Page’s answer to Cosroe’s request is: “with the Babylonian wine and the Basarangian must no wine can compete”.
