The Mandean Book of the Zodiac preserves some Mesopotamian omens by means of a direct transmission.

Iqqur īpuš 88.12:
If in Šabātu (Adad) thunders: an invasion of locusts in the land.

Sfar Malwašia 266 (Drower):
If in the month of Šabat there is a rumbling, there will be much cloud, beasts will perish … many locusts will come.
