The Neo-Assyrian mythological creation text K 7067.6 uses the formula for determining the area of a rectangle in the arrangement of the heavens: “They (= the gods) multiplied the width [of heaven] by the height [ … ]”. This is a unique reference to the mathematical concepts in mythological texts.
