Erra Epic 1.88-91:
(Seven to Erra:) ‘Over our battle gear spiders webs are woven … The points of our sharp arrows are bent; our swords, from lack of slaughter, have developed verdigris.’

Bacchylides 4.69-72:
On the iron-bound shield-grips the webs of tawny spiders appear, while pointed spears and two-edged swords are overcome by rust.
